If cake has icing, what does pizza have?
We all know that cake is better with icing. But what makes a perfect pizza an unforgettable pizza? A small bottle with a powerful effect: our homemade peperoncini oil.
The name says it all, because each bottle actually contains only two ingredients: peperoncini and olive oil. No additives, no artificial flavourings, no meddling. That’s why we select both ingredients so carefully.
We source our ‘Diavolicchio Diamante’ peperoncini directly from Calabria. We put the high-quality pods in 100% Italian organic extra virgin olive oil for a few days, so that the heat can develop naturally. We then fill the oil into dark glass bottles to protect it from light and preserve its pure quality.
Like almost all the ingredients at dieci, we also source our olive oil and peperoncini where they originate: directly from the producers, traceable all the way back to the farmers. And you can actually taste these origins: just let a drop of peperoncini oil melt on your tongue. At first you taste the fruity olive oil, then the delicious, warming spiciness unfolds as the flavour develops.
The oil goes perfectly with our pizza, enhances any pasta, works as a dip with crispy dieci pizza bread and also adds an extra flavour boost to sauces. Always add it at the very end in order to preserve the flavour. A small bottle – but a big difference on your plate.
